On behalf of one of our clients within oil, gas & energy we are now looking for a Business Controller.
As Business Controller you will be a key player for our client, and if you've got skills within budgeting, reporting and re-forecasting a long with a solid commercial acumen you might be the one we are looking for!
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish and ensure compliance with objectives and action plans supporting company strategy and KPIs
- Lead and support improvement projects across all business processes
- Partner and support to the entire value chain
- Manage and develop financial analyses and support for decision making
- Responsible for the budget process
- Prepare monthly reporting and re-forecasting
- Establish and maintain a log of all discrepancies from the budget/AFEs
- Prepare project financial statements
- Quarterly financial- and project reporting
- KPIs and scorecard production and analysis
- Liquidity reporting and analysis
Other
- Optimize resource utilization
- Improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through implementation of best practice work processes, procedures and systems
- Reporting as required and defined by VP Finance
- Perform department employee appraisals, maintain competence mapping of employees and business segment’s development and training plan
- Proactively seek best practice work methodology and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Relevant higher education
- 7-10 years of relevant working experience in a high pace project environment
- Solid commercial acumen, high financial understanding and strong financial modelling skills
- Relevant and strong accounting background
- Excellent IT skills and digitally ahead
- Strong understanding of running a business
- Fluent in Norwegian and English - both spoken and written
